  1. Pretty happy with how this turned out, I'm also using a rig from here. Though with a decent amount of changes so that it doesn't break.
  2. When you do that, it sets their coordinates to how far away they are from the parent object, which if you moved the object you want to parent, around normally in the map first, it would give it pretty high coordinates. The easy way to fix this and to be able to get both of your objects together is to simply set the parented object's coordinates to X - 0 and Z - 0 as then they will be very close to the parent object.

Whenever I render a scene in Mineimator using shadows it will always have these odd shadow glitches that are impossible to get rid of unless I turn shadows off. https://ibb.co/bNTXJrR I've done some research about this here, and multiple other users have also seen the same problem, and all of them including me share one similarity of having an AMD graphics card, which someone suggested may be the culprit before, and they could be right. This problem seemed to spring up once Mineimator moved to the new rendering engine in 2.0 Prerelease 5 and up, so no previous versions had this issue. I do really hope this incompatibility with AMD gets fixed though, because I really want to be able to use newer versions of Mineimator for better quality rendering, than what Mineimator has offered with Gamemaker Studio 2 quality rendering for nearly the past decade.
  4. Do note that this isn't called a remake for nothing. It is based off Willcraft's Endventures series, so I'm using the same narrative as that one and generally not changing too much unless it's improving dialogue and general story beats. This is Willcraft's original episode 3 of Endventures, made all the way back in 2012
  5. Revisited some old work of mine which you can find the original here. This has also shown me that it's really frustrating editing your old work when you had a completely different work flow and rougher animation style back then. Since the old episode 3 remake had like no overlap between characters and used tons of ease in and ease out transitions that just look bad. And I don't believe I could even replace all those transitions due to how time consuming it would be. Though I hope you like what I tried to improve.
  6. A few months of work in and I managed to complete this project. It's only half of the episode remade since I didn't see my initial redo of episode 1 get enough attention at first for my liking. But now this scene is better paced and actually animated compared to the original. I'm honestly quite proud of it, especially since I was a bit more experimental with transitions to add a sort of "bounce" to the animation. Here's the original for comparison:
  7. You won't, and projects from earlier versions can carry over to 2.0. However, do note that once a project is brought over to 2.0, it can't go back to earlier versions nor is compaitable with them, mostly due to a different code base and functions. I recommend making a copy of all your project files before you decide to install 2.0.
  8. Like with my previous animation, the description tells you everything you need to know. But in short, this set of nonminecraft animations I do is now a series called "A Hueverse Story" and this animation expands the scope of the story a lot to being much more complex.
  9. After a few months of work, I finally managed to complete this project. This is a remake of the first episode of Willcraft's Endventures series. I did actually remake this episode before, almost 2 years ago. But due to my skill at the time, it was hot garbage and really didn't do much to actually improve upon the original. But now I have vastly improved in animating since then, and decided to fix one of my mistakes. This still isn't a perfect remake, hell I'm not even using pre7 for rendering and lighting because my computers don't bode well with it, and I want this animation to still have an amateurish feel to it, and not look super hyper realistic.

  11. This was an original animation short I did back in November 2022 as part of a side project for a Videography class I was taking in school. It uses some simplistic character designs that I created and of course is made using Mineimator. I honestly forgot to post it here for some reason, but I'm still quite proud of this animation and considering I'm still in that Videography class, I plan to make a follow up to this video's setting and style. The music in the video was also done by me.

Though I'm only 4 days late. Basically, these are meant to be modern Mineimator renders of the very first Monster School episode done by Willcraft. They were rendered with Pre-release 5. Ultimately this isn't just a tribute to Willcraft's series but also to Mineimator as a whole to show how far the program has come since a decade ago when it had completely different capabilities and anybody using it at the time would never imagine it would rise to the level it's at now.

  15. Update: I found out what the cause of this issue was, it's because there's a new setting called "Camera locks mouse" that's why so often I was having trouble moving objects. If I simply disable that setting, there's no more issues now, and I can move objects like I always did. I don't think this setting should be enabled by default though. It is very annoying, and I wonder why it's here in the first place, I don't see how it could help people more than hinder them, when it comes to moving objects around.

One thing I noticed when moving Mineimator objects around in this version compared to earlier versions is how fast the objects would move to whatever limit you set the object rendering distance at (30000 in this case). And that when you moved objects around the overlay, sometimes your mouse would just snap off it and jump to a different point of the screen while still being connected to the move tool. And if you tried moving a Mineimator object while in the transform menu, just the slightest amount of movement when dragging your mouse left or right will immediately make the object go to the rendering limit. This was never a problem in earlier Mineimator versions (Even earlier 2.0 prerelease versions) because moving objects in those versions never went THAT far with a slight mouse movement. I hope this get's addressed because it's quite inconvenient for me, and when I tried adding IK to my character, this problem makes it very hard to the control them.
  17. Either Render with a lower number of samples (with the trade off of there being noticeable noise on the animation) or you can customize your render settings to disable stuff like indirect lighting which would make the samples go faster.
  18. I do really like how Mineimator supports 2K and 4K resolutions now, so I don't have to always go into display settings and manually change my resolution to something like 1080P.   19. I do wonder if real time reflections will be something built into the program now, since GM limitations no longer plague them, and they won't be dropping your FPS down to single digits.

I decided to make a little tribute animation to Songs of War, knowing that it will never have true Season 2 or 3 by Black Plasma Studios (I'm aware of a studio named Megste making a fanmade Season 3, but it will be nowhere close to Black Plasma's Quality). Must say this animation is a huge step up in lip syncing for me, and it was something quite demanding for Mineimator as it took 5 hours to render this thing entirely.
  21. This is looking pretty damn good, and I could defiantly benefit greatly from the increased memory and optimizations that would allow me to tackle much greater projects. Donated 4 dollars and 50 cents to help out on the development. Cheers.

  23. The portal collab entry I made for an upcoming animation collab Black Plasma Studios is doing, I did pretty good in a few days worth of a work.
