@Shane Honestly, scythes aren't that practical. I get that they're visually dynamic and were used in some anime (i.e. Soul Eater), but that doesn't really help if you're actually going to fight someone. Even using the kind that has 2 perpindicular handles could get you killed in an instant.

@Magicmaan775 yes, they are impractical IN REAL LIFE, but in animations you don't have to obey the laws of physics, therefure scythes can be very practical, because it's your animation, which is why my character scythe is enchanted and has 2 blades and not one, and making animations more like real life would make them boring, because bows will be very hard to use, swords and medival weapons wouldn't be able to be used quickly, and your character will take an hour to go 1 mile.

TD;LR: my animation - my rules, period.
