Yeah sometimes it is best not to go with tutorials. Go with an idea. Make it the best you can and then add to it. I didn't use any tutorials and in less then a couple hours my Alex rig was complete. I didn't count the time in between when I worked cause I didn't do anything with mineimator in like a week or two. And I will be honest with you. This is one of the best rigs out of people who say " First Rig ".

Good rig for your first. I made an Alex rig for my first rig and actually made it today also. To be honest I wouldn't download it because I need more complex things and I use my skins to rig but voted it up. Also thought I'd give you a tip. Make the eyebrows longer and a little less fat.
