  1. This one I took a black-and-white approach. I think it looks nice and sinister. I also hid an easter egg in the picture. If you can find him first, i'll make a wallpaper of your character!
  2. That looks really great. Nice work.
  3. Something I created for you all to enjoy.
  4. I was hoping there would be a complete overhaul on the graphics in Mine-Imator someday. Obviously now it's just a dream, but this could be something to think about. Please add: High Definition Rendering. Example. Vertical Sync. Explination. Multi-core Rendering. (For those with better computers) More Filtering Modes (Between Bilinear to Anisotropic 16X) Example. More advanced shaders. Lightwarp. Normals Mapping. These features would certainly make Mine-Imator the key program for making animations related to minecraft.
  5. Gibblets is the longer version of 'Gib' where something can chip, break away, or snap off because of stress, damage, or wear. If you exploded, your body would not be in-tact. It would throw chunks of gibblets and innards in every direction.
  6. He is looking for a feature to render the further away textures with smoothing. Example:
  7. Most game engines support this kind of thing, I for one agree with him. A box skybox would do the trick. However the skybox is not in 3d. In order for that to be, there must be another skybox where it can simulate objects in the distance that aren't really there. Sort of like in a map where it includes an iconic structure in the background, you wouldn't want to model the whole thing or else it would cause stress on your system. I know a lot about this stuff since I was a former video game mapper, and that was what it really was and still is in most 3d softwares. But enough random debunking, we need this; now.
  8. Disclaimer: I will not make skins for you. You have to put in the effort yourself. After all, all good creations can only be made with a lot of work. For this tutorial, I will be using Ironstan's to show you how to change the skins. It's a lengthy process and will take some effort, but the results will be well worth it. 1. Open the rig's folder, copy and paste steve.png, and steve rig.png (also fingers.png if you want fingers.) While you are there, create a folder for your skin. You will need this later. 2. Open any photo editing software that allows transparency. For this tutorial, I will be using Paint.net as reference. 3. Open your skin; Hallow out your skin's eyes and mouth area. (As shown in the picture.) Optional: Open fingers.png and color the fingers to match your skin. 4. Save the images as the same name. (steve.png and fingers.png) 5. Open steve rig.png. Color the parts to match your skin. (Shown in picture) 6. Save as the same name and quit. Drag the newly created files in your rig folder. 7. Open Mine-imator and Load the rig. If there are missing files, change the files to your newly created ones. If you do not get a prompt of any missing files, simply change the skin of the rig with the files as your new ones. And you're done! If I helped you out, please give me a little bit of green, nothing much. Just takes a click.
  9. Thats actually interesting. But we would need some grids for the item.png for this to work much better. Also the iPhone would be two-sided, which doesn't seem right.
  10. I'm fairly certain you all might know of this, but in case you haven't, there is a skin creating program called Skincraft for making skins. It's not hard to use, it just takes some effort. Why I post this is so there will be a cut-down on the amounts of skin requests. And please no negativity if you've heard of it, I'm fairly certain you have.
  11. These are really well done images.
  12. Thank you for all well constructive criticism. I'll look for better fonts on the webs.
  13. I'm not good at photoshop yet, so I decided to keep it plain for now.
  14. Do I really have to use a rig in the animation? I find that what I have planned will not even need it.
  15. A green screen is the more well known name, but Chroma Key is it's technical name. Either way it's the same deal.
  16. TF2 Trading servers are designed for the basic purpose of trading. What he is asking for is a schematic sort of built like a trading server map. A good example is trade_minecraft_b42 where players can just do things and roam around but mainly for trading TF2 items. If you've ever been to a trading server in Team Fortress 2, you would get the general idea of what goes on in the maps.
  17. You can delete singular blocks in a schematic via MC edit. In regular Mine-imator no.
  18. We aren't sure what Mine-Imator pro will give us, but we all simply know that it's going to be better than standard version. Also cheers to David for keeping things free for beta testers.
  19. You can have your schematic as large as you want; however, don't bite off more than you can chew. A bigger schematic = longer load time.
  20. I've noticed Mine-imator has a render distance, so perhaps that can be used for users to load whole maps instead of a pre-made schematic. I ask this be added since I want to make a video involving this map without having to take a century loading the whole schematic.
