  1. Hey guys i have been playing with the color tools in the minimator UI settings and came up with a neat color scheme similar to that of programs in the Sdobe Creative Suite. If you are a fan of the adobe after effects/ premier pro color schemes like I am you may want to try this on for size. if you want to download this color scheme Click Here Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. i just didn't know where else to put this topic. Here are some screen shots:
  2. i think the glorious david might be working on a character creation tool for mineimator. its been mentioned in the faq "Q: Will this be the last update? A: After 1.0.0, additional things like the mob builder, built-in facial animations, sound support and Mac support will be added into future updates."
  3. where is the browse button! all i see is the drop down menu to select a texture. when i select the drop down menu i see nothing but the option to select the already selected default texture. what browse button!? oh wait i was looking in the wrong settings window... now i feel slightly stupid

    Video Editor?

im pretty sure Sony isn't going to just make older versions of their software free just like that. vegas pro 8 costs money just like the rest.

    Video Editor?

the only free video editing programs out now are either crap or limmited versions of payed products. you could get a program called lightworks which is a free proffessional video editing program. how ever it is very advanced and requiers a pretty decent computer to run. while sony vegas ""PRO"" may be difficult to get because of its high price tag. there are some cheaper versions that won't cost an arm and a leg to get. one of these programs are "sony movie studio platinum" which is the next best thing to sony vegas pro. there are a few bells and whistles in vegas pro that vegas platinum doesn't have. but most of what you need is there. it has color correction tools. video effects, newbluefx plugin support and it has an easy learning curve. i have used vegas platinum for all the videos on my channel and the channels before it. so if you want a proper video editing program your best bet is to shell out some money for it. my personal recommendation is movie studio platinum.
  6. computers can only do so much. think of how a gaming computer can run a demanding game better then a casual computer from best-buy. the same thing applies here only instead of a game, its a program for minecraft animations. if you have a more powerful computer then mineimator will run better. if your computer is old and slow mineimator will run poorly.
  7. there is no way of selecting said textures the only thing i can select is the drop down menu. there is no import button or specified folder to put the textures i want. when i open the drop down menu the only option i get is default. and yes i have messed with resource packs my two favorites are ozocraft and faithful
  8. in the new 1.0 version of mineimator there is a section in the options for the different things you can import which allows you to choose different textures.. i tried adding a resource pack in the .minecraft folder thinking that's where mineimator linked the texture drop down menu but it didn't work. i went to where i installed mineimator to see if there was some kind of special folder for resource packs. to my disappointment there was none. does any one here know how to add textures? to better explain what i mean with the options i uploaded a picture of the mineimator UI to imgur. click here to see it
  9. not true. i just had some worries about mineimator possibly brakeing the new EULA. i have explained 3 times in the post that i have no problems with having to donate a little to get the pro version( infact i just droped $.50 and had less then $1.00 on me yes its not much but its the best i could do atm) . i just worried there still might be some kind of legal problem. i would donate more if i could afford to. but it seems i was incorrect about some things. and maybe it won't be as big of a problem as i first thought.

    shader

maybe if david implements it he could add options to enable/disable it so computers that are powerful enough can use that feature and computers that are not as powerful could still make pleasant animations with the water reflections disabled.
  11. i hope you guys are right. even though david did say you could donate $0 and still get the pro version, im still slightly conserned. but if you guys know completely for sure that this is fine with mojang. i suppose i could do my best to trust your words.
  12. (The Glorious David i'm not sure you knew of the EULA update news which is partially why im making this forum post) First off i can understand why The Glorious David wants to have a payed version of mineimator. I would pay for it my self if I could just to support the mineimator project. But there are some problems with paying for mineimator that can get The Glorious David into trouble with mojang considering their soon to be in stone EULA update, where they will be enforcing stricter rules on what can and can not be sold on servers or on minecraft in general. This EULA states that parts of minecraft that belong to mojang (like tools textures and extra features which are already in the game) can not be sold and could violate mojangs up coming EULA change. The Glorious David will be providing a more visually impressive version of mineimator with better shaders and textures, similar to recent minecraft builds of minecraft and more settings to mess with. Again i see why The Glorious David is doing this and i don't have a huge problem with it but i have a gut feeling that mojang may not feel the same way. I think a better approach would be to reach out to people on youtube to showcase updated versions of mineimator and maybe ask for a few helping hands to make production of mineimator more efficient. Mojang is still ok with server creators and mod makers using ad revenue as a way of profiting off their hard work but selling content that is not cosmetic may get on their nerves and possibly result in halting the production of mineimator. I love mineimator. i see it becoming a great tool down the road, but if The Glorious David isn't careful and decides to only give the full version to donaters instead of asking for a helping hand from the modding and YouTube communities it may result in mojang shutting down these forums as well as the production of mineimator. The Glorious David if you see this post please don't take any personal offense i'm really looking forward to the new update but i think you may want to take a different approach for financially supporting your self and the production of mineimator. another option would be to make mineimator free but offer donaters access to the model creator that one of the members thought of a while back since as far as i know it can be considered completely cosmetic. and might not violate the EULA mojang will be putting into place soon. ( you may want to double check that though) here is a link to the updated EULA mojang will be placing soon ( i know it says it affects servers but alot of these enforcement' could apply to mineimator as well) : http://www.minecraftforum.net/news/1367-eula-revisited-an-updated-qa-from-mojang/ im going to to say one more time. i don't have any beef with The Glorious David of the consept of mineimator im jus't trying to do my best to prevent any unwanted conflicts. please do not take this as an attack towards The Glorious David or mineimator i want the production of mineimator to continue. but i think it should be done honestly EDIT: my concern for mineimator has faded. alot of you guys have helped clear some things up. im sorry if this post annoyed any of you. i would delete if i knew how.

    shader

yes the new version of mineimator has shaders that are much better then what vanilla minecraft offers. how ever i wouldn't say its as good as sonic ethers shaders. reguardless, that are better then vanilla and the new version of mineimator also has a lot of fantastic color correction tools which can be used to deepen the look and feel of your scenes.
  14. in the 1.0.0 demo's there is a new feature that can be used on pretty much everything you can import from the workbench. when you add something to the timeline you get a window that has a few options for the things you added in that window there should be a drop down menu called "transitions" which changes the movement style between two keyframes. in this video i used " ease in and out (quadratic)" which makes that smooth gliding effect when doing things like turning or stopping the cameras movement besides re-exporting the video to mp4 to make the file size smaller. no changes where made to the raw finished version of the video i exported from mineimator. all the depth of field work, color correction, fog and camera movements where done in mineimator demo 3.
  15. This is a small test to see what mineimator can do. I did some camera movement demonstrations and messed with color correction to get this warm late noon color effect. Hope you guys like it. if any one here wants to mess around or tinker with different things in this video here is a link to the project file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/tnbhm462nnefz1y/what_mineimator_1.0.0_can_do.zip you are free to upload your versions of this video to youtube. requirements for project file: mineimator demo 3 a decent gaming computer ( my computer specs : intel core i5 5670k, gtx 650 ti, 16gb ddr3 1600mhz [you dont need that much ram. heck i don't need that much ram ]) pacients ( it took over an hour for the video to render)
