It seems as if the program code has a limit of up to 2 GB of RAM and I would like to increase it with my 16 GB of RAM. Performance and rendering speed depends on the CPU and GPU.

RAM only determines how many resources (texture packs, scenery, images) you can import into Mine-imator, and there is no limit in 2.0 other than the amount of RAM on the system.
