Making invisible a bunch of different objects at once

When I select multiple objects on the timeline and I click on the hide icon it only hides the one clicked at ignoring what's selected. This doesn't make sense. I want to make visible and invisible back and fort a bunch of objects often because having many models at once makes my fps go down so this could come handy.

If you create a folder and put all those objects in that folder you can just press the visible icon on the folder and all objects in the folder will become invisible at once.

sometimes I want to make invisible things which shouldn't be on a folder
