Changing text in keyframes

It is cool how you can change a texture on something in keyframes but can there be changing text in keyframes? It would be similar to the texture changing but it would be for text, it is because It takes a while just to make multiple text everywhere and maybe for detail could the text show the player backspacing or add? You would also be able to change the keyframes to instant so it changing instantly. But it would just be great for animations
