[Story]
They were making a lot of noise, she knew that.
Her heart fluttered in her chest as she kept running, his hand slippery in her own.
The zombies were groaning loud enough to wake a city.
But safety was ahead.
She couldn't help but look over her shoulder, fear glinted in his eyes, his eyes widening at the sight of fear in hers.
He opened his mouth, seemingly about to say something, but she tore her gaze away, and they continued running.
The sounds of their footsteps, and the groans of the zombies being the only sounds to ring through the harsh night.
