Entity 303 will always be a Hoax. The fact that he eats children and tears up their bodys.... no, that's way too far. Herobrine, on the other hand, oh he is very real. Entity 303 has gone way to far with the whole "MAKEAWISH" thing and the eating up children part. He is a hoax. He will never stop being a hoax unless there is enough VIDEO evidence of him getting close to the Player.
