What if you  could spend reputation? for colored names (10) or other stuff! like if we could use bigger avatar sizes (20) or heck even get a rank up! (200)

I think there could be a different method to this, as rep is not something that should be spent. Unless you can somehow be a popular person to a weak peasant at the snap of the fingers for a flashy neat sign. Perhaps we could start a credit system for each time someone logs in, posts, makes a topic, starts a poll, or makes an exemplary post. Also you can lose credits for getting your post locked (unless the person who started the topic wants it to be that way,) breaking the rules, etc.

 

The credits could go as follows:

+ 3 credits for logging in

+ 4 credits per post

+ 6 credits for starting a topic (Plus an extra + 4 credits if it's a polled topic)

+ 15 credits for exemplary post (Chosen by a mod or enough +rep in the post [Not applicable to topics unless a mod so chooses])

+ 1 credit per rep

+ 5 credit bonus for logging for a week straight with at least 5 contributions per day.

 

- 5 credits for topic locked

- 7 credits for getting a warning

 

Feel free to edit this system if you wish, as I know another website that does this system.
