You should be able to watch mineimator full screen

You can. look at the GUI corners carefully, there are padlocks, click them and they should look unlocked, and if you move your mouse away from where the GUI would be, they should slide away and voila, full screen.

It's the same effect really. As for rendering, it's automatically fullscreen. F11 doesn't do anything in Mineimator but it'd be a great hotkey for the padlocks to be toggled together

Ayhay, he means a way to make the program take up the whole area of one's screen whilst hiding the close button. What you posted was a way to hide the toolbars and work areas in mine-imator.
