  1. I think that David is more focused on optimization and adding various features. Maybe the ability to import animation sequences is a high priority to him, maybe it isn't. It's only a single person working on the program, so be patient.
  2. You seem to be on a computer that you don't own (as in, it belongs to a parent or a school). If that is the case, then you must contact the computer owner and ask for the password. The installer requires the program to be placed in a location on the computer that is blocked by the computer owner, and it can only do that when it is allowed to do so (when the password is entered.)
  3. How long do you wait after "launching" the program? Usually, even after the update, it takes about 1-2 minutes. Faster than the 5 minutes from before, but you still have to wait. Is your desktop clear? If your desktop isn't showing, then the program might open underneath your other open windows (a web browser, perhaps)
  4. Eh, RadDevVan101 had a point when he said that. It's not very professional to have an automatic walking animation inside a program specifically meant to animate. It's like wanting Adobe Flash to have their own automatic animations, like GoAnimate (shiver).
  5. Is this a thread for suggestions? If not you can redirect me to the board where it should be. My suggestion is, The Glorious David, can you make the sun's light go in different directions? As of now it is parallel to the west-east axis, and it should logically be that way. The reason why I ask this is because, in cinematics, lighting is usually harnessed to convey a certain direction of action. If you have shadows pointing left-back, then you can declare the action of the scene in the right-front. This is not possible in Mine-imator without rotating the whole schematic and the objects by 45 degrees. This makes animation a hassle (you have to move 2 axes every time) just to have more cinematic shadows that don't just go in one direction. A possible solution would be to make a huge spot light that shines in the direction you want, but that usually results in some warped shadows (not normal sun behaviour.)
  6. I don't think David added that as a feature, so the only solution would be to remove chests in schematics, and re-add them later after loading.
  7. It's still a demo, so it's not ready for final release yet.
  8. You have to be more detailed before David can actually get close to fixing it. Were you in render mode, what kind of light properties were you using, etc? You remind me of people who say, "My car is making a noise and I don't know why, so fix it!"
  9. Sounds to me like you're trying to use a school or other administrator-owned computer to use MineImator, in which case you shouldn't even be doing that. Anyways, you can specify the directory that MineImator installs in so it shouldn't be a problem at all.
  10. The point of making it an installer is to make it easier for all users. Tell me, in what way would it be harder to use an installer?
  11. Please read through the rest of the 8 pages of the thread, and look at how many people have the same problem as you. I really don't think posting it for the 30th time will cause the bug to be fixed.
  12. I have a new bug that wasn't posted yet: When trying to render heavy tasks (for me, I tried rendering the sun light source and a point light source at insane resolution) I am encountered with a Fatal Memory error. Is there a way for me, the user, to allocate more memory to fix this error?
  13. The text is asking whether or not we want 1.0.0 to be released now. If we don't release now, David will have the opportuniity to add Slime Blocks and the like. Personally I think we should have the release of Sunday and have him add it later. Google Translate to Polish Edition: Tekst jest pytaniem, czy chcemy 1.0.0 być wydany teraz. Jeśli nie zwalnia teraz, Dav.id będzie miał opportuniity dodać Slime bloki i podobne. Osobiście uważam, że powinniśmy mieć uwolnienie niedzieli i mają go dodać później.
  14. I don't think there's a specific way to tell who downrepped me, but I think the reason why people had downrepped you. Your logo suggestion was too grand to be a logo for an icon, and maybe could be a banner for the website.
  15. Run in circles to find the enemy patterns and then strike when the timeline is right. Then you'll get the keyframe to unlock the credits scene.
  16. It was what I think to be, one of David's practice projects for programming, no? For a practice project that didn't really expect to make money for David (the Donate upgrade makes this evident), it's really high quality. I feel that it's very high quality and very fun to use, but I wouldn't use it for major commercial projects. I'd use it for animation testing and practicing, much like how David probably made it to practice.
  17. He set up a direct .mp4 download below the embed video, so you can view it that way.
  18. This is some really good progress, and the program looks very promising! I can wait for the release if it means less bugs! I'm not really caught up, however... David, are you planning to implement post processing effects like bloom, motion blur, and the likes in the future? Or are your main priorities around the Mac support and custom Mob/Object building?
  19. How does it not work for 64 bit? I have a 64 bit OS and it's working better than perfectly. As for , I can't wait for you to finish this wonderful program! I've been here since 0.4 (not as long as though) and have seen all of your great progress!
  20. You don't have to bump a pinned thread, it is always on the top. I also concur with your request on camera parenting, but think that this is not the best thread/subforum to post in on. I think the best subforum to create your own thread is the Mine-imator discussion subforum.
  21. This is a very nice concept! I feel I'd really like this story, parasitic beings and ways to fend them off are so interesting.
  22. I'm surely positive that shouting blatant request to David will not get you anywhere. The development is primarily focused on graphics and minecraft-like aspects, so that is probably going to be a post-1.0 feature if it is going to be one at all. David, being an 18 year old independent developer, might also not be able to get to your request and taking a look at a model because of his busy, busy schedule. Possible solutions could be: -Making a building of a Dalek and exporting it as a schematic to import. -Making a custom rig/model within the program, using blocks as your building material. -Re-texturing a snowman may be the easiest method I can think of.
  23. The Glorious The Glorious David is probably busy with school and whatnot, and I really want to donate. Unfortunately, I don't have any money to send over the internet at this moment, but I will be sure to thank him later when I do obtain such means.

    Weird bug

Perhaps it's an incompatability with the PC, I have a 3 year old 980mb ram XP Laptop that works with the program (even though preformance is low).
