  1. The pause would be really useful. Everytime I press space and it goes right to the begining I get stressed. Im used to the behavior of space meaning pause (right at the place the timeline is at) and not rewinding to the begining from every editor i've used before.
  2. But im afraid this doesn't save me from redoing every keyframe from scratch everytime I want to use a different character with a different skin (no posibility to use the walking cycle of an existing character into another character to save time).
  3. I have a character with a certain skin, i've animated him. Now I want to duplicate it, move it away and then use the same keyframes for another character at the side, using a different skin. Let's say I want to walk them in sync side to side. It seems I can't do this. I don't understand why you can't change skins on the fly, it seems you have to create a new entity in "Library" for each skin you want to use. Which leaves me without the posibility to re-utilize the keyframes from other characters specially the basic ones that work for all entities such as walking. I can't also try to copy keyframes from one character to another in the timeline. So im asking: How do I ago about this?
  4. I have the scenery backfaces but didn't work. I actually opened and closed mine imator and fixed itself. It seems something bugged it.
  5. Im trynig to do this and none of the transitions seem to do the trick. http://s28.postimg.org/uqv5de6nh/thing.png This goes from left to right. So it's a linear transition on the first keyframe, then the second should make it it "brake" slower so the end isn't a rought stop, so on the second keyframe i've tried easy in (and out because im not sure if it in means brake slowly or accelerate slowly). The thing is, it accelerates the speed from the second keyframe to the latest keyframe no matter what transition I choose.
  6. uhh yes. Anyone getting 100K per video (and uploading videos daily) is getting about that.
  7. So this house, has glass panes, I don't know if the fact they are coloured or not matters. Anyway, inside the house I got the usual objects inside (made out of blocks, that's spawned blocks inside mine imator not actual blocks from the schematic) and they don't show up when im outside the window looking at them throught the glass panes... any ideas? I've considered removing the glass panes from the schematic with mcedit and replacing them with spawned glass panes in mine-imator but that's a massive waste of time.
  8. I do have a real job, I run a couple of business. Im 30. Again im not serious on my animations. All im saying is, if I was trying to put 100% into it, it would be frustrating. As a kid you can do what you like because you have 100% of time, once you get a real job have fun trying to finish high quality animations. And even if you managed to grow in Youtube, the way things are paid, you just wouldn't benefit from quality. A guy with 1 million subscribers uploading 1 gameplay video daily will make more money than a guy with 1 million subscribers uploading 1 animation or 2 monthly (which is what would take to create a good 10 minute animation or so, and that's if you could spend enough time on it without working a real job.
  9. Im just asking because since I do this for a hobby, I see the amount of time it takes to create a decent 5 minute animation. Meanwhile you got all those youtubers with 0 talent making thousands of dollars monthly by pressing record and playing some Minecraft and whatnot. Why put effort into the details when you aren't rewarded accordingly? Most people here are probably young but once you reach my age you'll see that 1) You NEED money 2) Time is limited 3) People don't reward quality, usually. Case in point, top 10 youtubers. Who is an excellent animator?
  10. If I was a professional I would spend as much time as needed, but I don't get paid for this unfortunately, it's a small hobby on my small free time. I don't do rigs, the thought of having to animate faces gives me a headache alone. Thats why I get hated for wanting walking/running etc auto cycles over here. Anyway, what David said helped, now I just need to click somewhere on the scenery and whatever was selected deselects, this is what I wanted.

    Sound

Camtasia is enough to drop some sounds in your animation, and im sure there is freeware similar software to that.
  12. I know im not a retard, but apparently I am since it seems im the only person here having problems with this.
  13. Im using a Quadcore (the old Q6600 one), 4 GB ram and a r7850 GPU. Granted, the CPU and RAM are making a bottleneck on the GPU but the GPU is quite powerful, I can play most games at my native resolution smoothly. Doesn't make much sense that 8 lights are making this big of a performance impact in a simple blocky scenareo. I can have 10 lights in the Doom 3 map editor which has much more complex architecture map wise, with bumpmapping, high polygon models etc, and I get smooth FPS. There are options in the lights that say "cast shadows". I unmarked all of them and they all still cast shadows, so what I did was simply click on "visible" and turn the lights off, and I will only keep the light of the are im working at on to see how the shadows look like. Annoying but seems like the only workaround now. Also 2 added questions: Is there a way to select multiple objects on the timeline faster rather than click them separately while pressing shift? for example a I got a list of point lights: Point light #1 Point light #2 Point light #3 Point light #4 Point light #5 And I want to select from #1 to #5. Intuitively you would think pressing shift and clicking on Point light #1 then while pressing **** and clicking on Point light #5 you would select the entire list but doesn't happen. And my other question: How do I change the position of an object in the timeline? For example I got Point light #6 right at the end of the timeline and I want to put them up and under Point light #5 so I get all my lights together.
  14. I have a pretty decent computer and after about 8 point lights, the FPS go to like 5. I tried setting all to very low and no luck. How is your render performance? Also is there a way to disable all casts shadows tempirarily so I can work for example on adjusting depth of field with a decent framerate?
  15. I know, but there's something definitely wrong with it, it requires a stupid precision, it should be less annoying.
  16. I find myself trying to press the angle number like a retard to enter a precise rotation or position manually a couple times until I hit the number so I can write. If there's no way to do this please add a clickable button or something on the next version. All those little things drive me insane
  17. 1) How do I make the timeline to PAUSE instead of going all the way back to the start when I press spacebar? 2) How can I make that when I select something it goes automatically down in the timeline and highlights it? useful when you have a million things in the timeline and waste time searching for what you've selected and attempt to animate.
  18. The problem is selecting "bottom" selects the entire thing. I just tested in the old version and it does the same thing actually, so maybe I imagined you could do this. I would like to see this in the next version. I do miss this GUI tho, to select the parts more accurately:
  19. In the older versions you could select the entity's parts easier on the GUI where there was a drawing of the the entity and it's movable parts. Now I can't seem to find a way to scale down the bottom part of the chest, was very useful when trying to use a chest as other objects via skins.
  20. Thanks really helpful. Is there a website with sheets you can download? I can't find anything, it's usually texture packs and then you have to manually search for the file that has that sheet file.
  21. Is there a way to do this? I mean the default grass infinite floor. Is there a way to change it's texture as well? For example if you are doing a scene that takes place in an island, having the main texture to be of water would be useful instead of having to import an huge floor full of water to create the ilusion of an ocean that meets the horizon.
  22. I have accidentally moved the entire scenery sometimes which gets every other object out of place by accident, coupled with the fact there's no quick undo shortcut its annoying as hell. So there's no way to deselect without having to click something else?
  23. Simple question. How do I deselect everything? i find myself doing stuff stuff to deselect what it's already select, is there any shortcut combination of keyboard keys?
  24. Lookin good. Any input on animation presets? You could add in-built animation presets that resemble the original minecraft for walking/running for example. WMM was sure goofy as hell but really fun to use, and that's what's all about for me, fun a good story, thats why I want autowalk cycles or anything that can save me time even if the end result is goofy and not very flashy. As far as the audio timeline goes, I suggest that you can crop sounds and delete parts/fade in/fade out etc, like basic control of the audio file like you can do in Camtasia. Ideally, the more you can do in the same program without having to go from one place to another the better, as your work flow doesnt get disturbed.
  25. Anyone can help me with this? im stuck without being able to continue my animation unless i can add chunks on mcedit to my schematic
