  1. I've been gone for a while, and I've noticed that the site I used to host a lot of my images (imgsafe) has since disappeared from the internet. I've moved computers several times since, so I don't have my old projects anymore. Admittedly, most of them weren't any good, but I would still like to have access to them. With the image hosting site gone, I'm not sure if there's anything I can do. Does anyone have any ideas on potential recovery, or are they gone for good?

  2. Maybe this isn't the right place to ask, but I've been gone for a while and the forum interface is different. I can't seem to add images to my post with the BBCode like I used to, and the Insert Image form URL button doesn't seem to work with my imgur links. How did you get this image to show?

No. Make sure your spot lights are mostly coming from one direction, and delete the ones that aren't coming from that direction.

I followed the tutorial to create a 3 point composition, and tried some of the other things you said. Here is the new version, I would love some more feedback.

    1. The light source needs to be coming from a specific direction, so that shadows are cast in a direction

Every time I tried adding a new light source, no shadows came to be. Could it be because there are so many point lights on the blue characters that simply light up the whole scene?

Surprisingly enough, that's not the edge. The platform they are on is just so high up that the natural lighting blocks that part of the ground out with fog. Looking through that lens without lighting enabled shows the ground

Okay, here are some things I noticed:

    1. There is no light source (all faces have the same shadowing)
    2. Background is very bland (add a little fog at least)
    3. Posing could use a little more balancing
    4. Maybe add a more dramatic camera angle (a little tilt, but not TOO much)
    5. Just overall shadowing needs improvement

    Good things:

    1. Glow looks nice
    2. Scenery is good (up close)
    3. Characters look well resembled

    Keep practicing.

    1. The only light sources are the glowing characters and light from the sky
    2. Yeah, it is a little bland. I don't know how to do fog, but the fog put there automatically is covering the ground.
    3. I'm not sure what that means
    4. I can try that
    5. How do I change things to do with shadows?

    lighting could use some work
wait sauron doesnt have flaming eyes...at leasts thats how i remember him
one of celebrimbor's after images are not emitting any light like the 1st and the 3rd afterimage
also the edge of the map can be seen so try to hide it

Woops, better fix that lighting issue, and whereabouts can the edge of the map be seen?

    • Attacking guy and the ghosts are the same person in context of the game, the reason they are faded is that they slowly fade away once the main guy moves away from them. I could make this clearer.
    • My scenes being too dark is an ongoing problem, I need to work on it.
    • Poses are temporary, the beheaded guys are literal copy-pastes for the time being.

    Thanks for your input!

    Thanks.

Yeah, you're right. How would I go about making it brother without making it look like crap?

Really? Do you think it's a glitch?

Not sure, it only happened with older maps, so maybe it was an issue with logs placed before sideways logs were implemented

So first off, its really dark and hard to see much. Second, some camera effects, like DoF, would be nice. Finally, the lighting could use a bit more work. You could probably find some nice turtorials for that, though.

Yeah I've already made a comment about the darkness. There is some DOF present, you may be able to see it in the far background. Any suggestions for lighting tutorials?
