Currently Trying to decide on a processor. Blender minimum cores is 8. I want to know if mine imator 2.0 still is a single core program or a multi core.

Mine-imator does adapt, so if you want to ever go to Blender and you have the recourses to buy a better CPU, with more cores then go for it.

But in basic sense Mine-imator does not really take much advantage of Multicores

Though I would always recommend Multicores for those who have many Programs open, it will make a real difference,  since I believe many animators have the Animation Program and other Editing Programs open all at the same time, I do at least.
