making a "hole" in the cylinder, is it possible?

I havent rigged in mine-imator for a long time (Plus it updated so idk if this is possible in the new update)

I saw Skibbz new facial rig, im really curious if the way he did the mouth is possible to make a full hole in a cylinder?

(p.s, Idk how he made that mouth effect btw im mesmerized by what Mine-imator has become now)

it is possible but if you want the hole to have a inside look then its bit more difficult if you want tire for a motorcycle then i would suggest not using cylinder but to use cubes and make a hexagon shape or something else anyways make the object that makes the hole 5% alpha and make it 2 depth or something not 0 or negative and make the wheel above or below the first objects depth
