Someone had this problem before. It's a false-positive, meaning that mine-imator is safe. Kapersky is not a good anti-virus. get something better like Microsoft security essentials (windows xp-7) or enable windows defender (8-10)

Microsoft Security Essentials is one of the worst anti-virus applications you can get, with a detection rate of 79 percent. Kaspersky has one of the highest detection rates. Overall, Kaspersky is one of the best Anti-Virus suites, along with NOD ESET, Avira, and Panda Security. And it could easily not be a false positive; both Avast!, Avira, even Qaihoo 360 have detected it as a Trojan Dropper. Crafterbooey, I recommend you not get rid of Kaspersky for something like Microsoft Security Essentials or Windows Defender. Try to send their virus cloud lab the malware sample and wait for a response from them. Or, if you believe the Dropper has already infected your system, I recommend these Malware Removal Applications. Note that these should not replace anti-virus suites. They are HitmanPro 3.0, and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. Also, if you are a computer expert, try running ComboFix but use extreme caution. Or you can go to somewhere like BleepingComputer or Hackforums (yes, there are white-hats there) for someone to help you.

Panda Security

I really hope you're joking.

besides, thousands of people have downloaded this program had have never said they got a virus, only that their anti-virus was not working.

I'm also a student in Information Technology. I generally know what i'm saying when i say it.

And what is your credible source?

To be honest, I first downloaded the program about a year ago and I did not get a virus. I recently downloaded it again, and a Trojan Dropper greets me after what I think is an update.

Have you ever heard of botnets and how they check for open ports on random uninfected networks?

Yes, you're basically leaving your system open for an attack.

If you think it's a virus so much, why don't you just go get something else?

I'm done trying to talk to you.

I'm just trying to tell you that it is dangerous to have a computer without any anti-virus.

For reference if you don't know what Botnets are: https://www.quora.com/How-do-botnets-spread

And I do not need to go get "something else". I am not here to seek help, rather to give advice.

Just because you are what you claim to be does not mean you possess more knowledge than others in similar fields. I personally am studying computer security and cryptography at my university. Also, saying that Microsoft Security Essentials is good and that Kaspersky is rubbish makes me feel a bit -what should I say?- mixed when reading your suggestion for Crafterbooey.
