How to add armor or saddles to characters? (0.7 DEMO)

Hi there. I'm Sydney and I haven't used Mine-Imator since I broke my computer about 6 months ago. Now I got it again. And I'm curious about something I never learned to do: Adding armor/saddles to characters. I wanna make an animation with saddled pigs but I'm not sure how to put the saddles on them. I'm confused whether you have to add a block or if there's something else I'm overlooking. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Thanks 

EDIT: I'm using the 0.7 DEMO because the 1.0.0 version is too confusing to me. Was never really able to figure that out

as far as I know, even in the 1.0.0 demo you can add neither .If you want to use them you have to download them as rigs on the forums. and sense you`re using 0.7 I don`t think it`s possible...sorry

That's what I was thinking.. Just add the armor or saddle item and give it a parent. I haven't tried this though, so I dunno. Maybe too obvious to be true.
