Download appears to be for "Open Download Manager" not Mine-imator. Ok?

When I try to download and install, the link goes to a page about Open Download Manager.  I tried downloading anyway, but when I read the EUA it said I would be giving it permission to change my home page and make other changes to speed up my computer.  I don't want to do that.  Am I downloading from the wrong place, or is this a requirement of the program? I'm very concerned about getting a virus or screwing up my computer.

 

Sorry if this has already been answered, I searched for it and couldn't find anything.

Be sure you are downloading the program from : http://www.stuffbydavid.com/mineimator
The download is a .ZIP file which contains the .exe which is used to run the the program.
There is no download installer for it and no installer at all for that matter.

So yes, you probably downloaded some malware or downloaded from the wrong site.

Sorry if I am double posting, my last post got screwed up with a link and when I tried to fix it it disappeared, at least for me.  Anyway, I have the same problem from your link (which seems to be where I was before).  Could you please try the link and see if it looks weird when you try to download?  My daughter is driving me crazy because she wants to start animating.

http://www.mineimatorforums.com/index.php?/topic/3745-click-to-download-mine-imator-07/ Go to this, and click "Download mineimator 0.7 demo" And it will  install it as a zip file, you need winrar or 7zip to open these. once opened, click the folder, and extract that folder to your desktop. open the folder, and click mineimator, and you are done.

Click 'Skip' in the top right corner to actually download, EVERYTHING ELSE is just an advertisement.
