  1. I get that, I was just looking around on here for almost a day a while back trying to find a base model that I could easily modify to make a ton of other personalized animals. I couldn't find a template so I did the legwork of making one myself and figured I would post it so that people could modify it to fit their own needs like I wanted to do.
  2. This is an animal template I created. Within it is a map and the base uv that you can use to skin it. It has the basic parts of most four-legged animals. Modifications to the model will require some fiddling around with the size values of the different pieces in model-bench. If you want to add or take away pieces, rigorously test their connections to other pieces and make sure that they are properly locked to whatever piece of the model you want them attached to, and if you want them to move on their own, make sure you fix all pivot points to where you need them. Modifications to the uv will require you to keep track of where everything is on the map of the model after you modify it and then opening the texture png in an editor like Paint.net. Please let me know if you are unable to download it using the link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l7ygoln2GnXoEu6cuhdrXGhGJwUDsVQY/view?usp=sharing
  3. To update I tried again and managed to paint all of the faces, and this was the result, and yes I tried opening it in blockbench as a box uv and it didn't let me, and i tried converting the existing per-face to box and this is what I ended up with. Also it seems to open up twice the size in blockbench that it does in modelbench.
  4. So, to clarify what it says in the question, I have made an animal template for Modelbench (which is supposed to be able to be used to make as many animals as need and I will share it if asked), and I am trying to create a colored texture for the model to test it out. I have tried exporting it as an obj and opening that in Blockbench. It should work, theoretically, but for some reason no matter what I try to do, I cannot paint on most of the faces of the model, even though it is properly mapped to a pure white png image in Modelbench. So could someone please give a detailed tutorial on how to either fix the issue or whether or not there is an alternative other than using a paint style program and constantly re-uploading the texture png to check every single little pixel. If this is in the wrong spot, I'll move it, I am just new and in need of help so i don't pull my hair out. Also, to the makers of ModelBench, if you ever read this, could you please add some sort of in program texture editor at some point?
  5. nevermind figured it out, it was the button near the top that looks like a firework, it toggles the particles on and off, though for some reason when i start messing with particles and paths, mine-imator crashes
  6. i got the same issue, so if someone out there could help us out it would be much appreciated
