Subject: Suggestion for Separate Rendering Quality in MineImator

Dear MineImator Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to suggest a feature that could greatly benefit users working on older or less powerful hardware.

Currently, when working with low graphics settings (e.g., "minimum" or "fast" mode), the final video is rendered with the same reduced quality. It would be incredibly useful if MineImator allowed users to work in "minimum" settings for smoother performance during editing, but still render the final video in "fantastic" or higher quality, regardless of the editing mode.

This feature could function as follows:

1. Low-quality mode for editing: Users can select lower graphics settings during editing to improve performance.

2. High-quality rendering: After editing, the software would automatically render the final video with the highest possible graphics quality, applying effects like shadows, reflections, and higher texture details.

This would allow users with older hardware to work efficiently without sacrificing the final product's quality.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and for the great work you've done with MineImator!

Best regards,

I mean couldn't you just edit in solid mode and then only do high quality rendering for the export itself and not doing it in real time since it would drop performance a ton?

That's generally a good way to go about it.

Also, in order to increase performance, I recommend hiding any objects that won't be seen during rendered shots because Mineimator will still try rendering them even if they're not in the camera's view. And also, maybe hide objects like the scenery during editing so it gives you much smoother performance to animate.

Really though if you're working with huge scenery, it's best to optimize it by splitting it into chunks and only making the parts visible when necessary.
