Want facial animation in Mine-imator?

Who said it wasn't already possible?

Here's how to animate faces in Mine-imator!

(Skip the 2 first steps if your skin is already saved)

  1. Find the used skin in the ressources tab.
  2. Select it and click "Save Ressource"
  3. Go on a skin editor, like Skindex.
  4. Upload the skin, remove the face and download it.
  5. Replace the used skin with the faceless one.
  6. Add surface shapes and parent them to the head.
  7. Resize and position them so that they match the eyes on the original skin.
  8. Make a texture or the pupils from your skin.
  9. Use it for a new surface shape, resizing and positioning it again accordingly to the original skin.
  10. Add a surface for the mouth, again resizing and positioning it again accordingly to the original skin. (Use paths with "Generate Shape" on instead, to make smiling shapes)
  11. Set the blend color to the original skin mouth's color.

Now the skin looks the same as before, exept now the eyes, pupils and mouth has their own timelines, meaning you can animate them!

This is way better than creating a skin for each possible face.

And this works for every model!

Don't blame me if you already knew this, I'm a newbie, and this might be really helpful for other newbies!
