Because its taking away frames or 'compressing' to make the file size smaller.

Its the whole point of compressing files and or photos.

 

Visit this post on how to make your animation at a proper speed if that is your problem.

 

If it seems to complicated or time consuming just fiddle with the tempo till the animation seems right.
