How do I add maps to animations?

I want to use a map in one of my animations, but I simply don't know how to add a map, can someone please help me?

Jk, make a map in paint.net and place it on a surface.

wait a second, paint.net in a photo editor, how am I supposed to make worlds and maps with that?

Then draw a map or whatever.

Then import it and place it on a surface.

 

And remember to quote people. They will respond faster that way.
