Summary: Earth and Mars are orbiting sun like usual until one asteroid fly pass Earth.

"GOAL!!!" One astronomer shout. In less than a minute, the news around the planet annouced that the asteroid has just zip past the "Orbital Keyhole" or a few-hundred-meters-wide region in space that the asteroid that pass through it will forced to impact the Earth in exactly seven years.

Well. Good thing that doesn't happened yet.

Today, our Solar System is still full of remains of planetary formation. Millions of asteroids orbiting the sun, again and again as some might fall off from their orbit and into the planets.
