Animating a crowd!

Hi! I am working on a project that is hopefully going to be a movie in Mine-imator!! 

 

But I need some tips of how to make a crowd, because it is quite difficult, any ideas?

Make 1 person, then make as much copies as you need. Next, highlight all the different people's keyframes by clicking and dragging over them. Now, whatever you do to 1 person will change them all. You can make slight adjustments to make it look less in sync, too.

but when I duplicate they and I move the first one, they will all move to that first one and be on top of each other?

If I remember correctly, Skidude has a superb tutorial on instances, in which he made a grouped crowd do a similar thing. Search through his playlist .

You can make say 5 characters and then clone them using the instance tab, that would be the easiest way. Here is the instance tutorial:

How come when I make a copy and then I move it it goes back to the original point? I tried clicking the position box but then it wouldnt let me move it?
