The Ability to Minimize Parented Objects

There should be a minimize option when working with parented objects. Like, you can collapse it so it doesn't take up so much space. I'm not sure if its on there already or not, but that should definitely so people like me can stay organized.

That is planned in future updates, you can also hide them from the timeline list if you no longer need to see them or know you don't need to edit them anytime soon. You can click the film reel icon in the instance tab. It will then show a red X over it and it will be hidden from the time line.
