Slowing down the Animation?

Hello, I recently started using Mine-imator, great program but when I try to create an animation it is just too fast, I know about the tempo bar but when you convert it to AVI it gets faster, Which I obviously don't want. Just wondering if there is anything on this.

Change the tempo to half the speed you want it and render it that way. It'll be slower, but it'll achieve results.

I am assuming the compressors double the speed? Hope that gets fixed.
