Any codecs out there?

Ok I just got Mine-imator yesterday and I finished my video (it's small) and when i tried playing it it wouldn't work.Later on I found out i need a codec but i need a good one.So i have a windows 7 computer is there any good codecs that are compatable with windows 7 and are GOOD.Please help.
