Kalashnikov rifles (Russian: Калашников) or AK rifles are a family of assault rifles based on the original design of Mikhail Kalashnikov. They are officially known in Russian as avtomat Kalashnikova (Russian: автомат Калашникова, lit. 'Kalashnikov's Automatic Gun'), and informally as "kalash" in Russian. They were originally manufactured in the Soviet Union, first by Izhmash and later by Kalashnikov Concern. Rifles similar to the Kalashnikov and its Soviet variants were later produced in many countries friendly to the Soviet Bloc, with rifles based on its design such as the Galil ACE and the INSAS also being produced. This time inclueded both the Actual AK-47 Type3 and the AKM. Crustyjpeg AKM My Reworked version of Crustyjpeg AKM So Yeah, this is like a more details version of his AKM, and most weapons i make is using Crustyjpeg model as base model for it, don't worry i already asked him to use his model as base model for some weapons, funny thing is, My IMI Galil AR model was actually an Ak-12 prototype by him, but i turned it into The Galil lol. After making a better M4A1 model, I decided to make an AK. But not just any old Kalashnikov, I specifically decided to model the AK-74. The AK-74 is an updated version of the AK-47 that revised several details of the dated assault rifle, the most obvious changes being a new muzzle brake to reduce recoil, an improved handguard (which the AKM, produced in the late 1950's, already had), but most importantly, a new caliber conversion, which used the new 5.45x39mm cartridge, which was lighter, smaller, and more efficient at long range. This rifle replaced the previous AKM in standard service (which replaced the original AK-47), and was eventually replaced by improved variants, such as, but not limited to: AK-74M - Modernized design, adopted after the economic collapse of the Soviet Union AK-12 - Had an inconsistent design since 2010 and, needless to say, is being used a little too much right now May be downloaded here!

The AK-47 is the weapon finished in 1947, that would revolutionize how the world views firearms. The Avtomat Kalashnikova, translated somewhere along the lines of 'Automatic Kalashnikov', was created by Mikhail Kalashnikov with some inspiration from Germany's StG 44 and the MP40 (as the AK's design originally had a near exact under-folding stock). It would also be modified numerous times, being transformed into nearly any type of firearm known to man. Although the rifle had great historical importance, it's glory within Russia was short-lived when it was mainly replaced by the newer AKM model in 1959. Despite this, it would have a large presence over other countries around the USSR within Asia. It had a fire rate of 600 rounds per minute, and was commonly used with its 30 round magazine. It also had a closed-bolt design. Its most modern variant as of now is the AK-19, finished 7 years after the death of the AK's original creator. Images: (P.S.
