Edit: To clarify, this is related to the new chats mods that were promoted, and the old ones quitting/being laid off. The context may not make sense in the future, so this thread is for this current time. I have been told the forums are uneasy at this choice. I tried explaining my thoughts in the chat, but nobody was willing to listen. Therefore I made this thread so I cannot be interrupted by lots of people. First off: You have good reason to be scared. Yeah the people in question have done bad things in their past. But so have some of the well known people here, and they've turned things around over time. Our very own Mustardblock being the prime example. (Apologies for the use of your alias and/or events in this example, in the event you didn't want it to be seen) He had a very rocky start in the beginning, but he was willing to work with us, and turned everything around and became nothing short of an icon here. A person that comes to mind when you think of these forum's community. What I am saying, is give them a chance. They haven't even started working yet and people instantly shoot these people down. When personally I have seen these members report more than most members have. Secondly: If things do go bad, the mods and admins will take care of it. They wouldn't choose people who aren't fit to the job, and if they let them down, they lose their position. Simple as that. Finally: You need to think why the other chat mods were gone. What could they have done that warranted the need for new chat mods? They were either not doing their job, or they quit. And I personally know the reasons why, and I think they are fine with this change as well. (For those two it has yet to be seen in my opinion.) TL;DR Chill out bruhs. They're new, and they were chosen for a reason. We all know what happens if they mess up. So yeah. It's a change. But we've changed before right? We've taken small steps on these forums, but now we must learn how to walk on our own. If you have any comments or concerns to this change, please respond to them in this thread. And keep it constructive so we can evaluate what you say and work towards those changes or respond to them. Edit2: A final note. Don't you think somebody who's been through the system knows it better than people who have never gotten in trouble? Imagine a Straight-A student vs. A Kid who struggles in school. That kid struggling knows what he's struggling on, and is trying to improve and make long-term decisions to work towards that goal, while a Straight-A student may just be somebody who figured things out okay, but still doesn't know what they want to do after High School. Somebody who experiences has a better knowledge than somebody who just reads/hears it.
