Life isn't about making money (or YouTube views), it's about doing what you enjoy and inspiring others to do the same. If you enjoy animating you can do it without any prize in front of you. Obviously it helps to have a budget and free time, since it allows you to do bigger and greater things, but it's certainly possible to create high quality animations at a low cost and relatively quickly (depending on how much of a perfectionist you are) in this modern digital era.
