Project Files Disappearing

So I've had this weird phenomenon happen a few times in the past couple months..
Sometimes, I'll save and leave a project for whatever reason (such as testing something in another project or taking a break or whatever), and somehow everything inside the project folder will just.. Vanish? Everything in the folder will be gone, just totally empty. No project, no backups, nothing.

I'm really confused about what's happening (and of course upset about my projects seemingly vanishing), so I'm asking what the cause could be, and if it's possible to get the projects back somehow?

looks like your anti virus is deleting your project files, or a kind of "trojan" in your computer
