How to do head bobbing

im not sure the best way to head bobbing when someone is talking if someone could help me that would be great

I make my character heads bob by tilting them back and forth to the syllables of the lines they're supposed to say. Bobbing them up and down looks messed up.

Also, when you do this, make sure to make the movements subtle, and not too violent.

Head bobbing is actually pretty hard work as it is right now, but I find this way is the best way to do it, even if it is excessively difficult
