armor for players/mobs

there is no way to put armer onto a player without making a armor skin (pain in the but) so i was thinking for mobs that support it (Skelly and zombie) and players. now the way i think it would work would be to click the timeline of the mob/player a new tab that would have selection for custom armor texture for people using custom texture packs. it would have a armor type selection for if you want leather, gold, chain, iron, diamond armor and a selection for what armor you want on and what you don't want on.

I think that would be great and i would love to hear what you guys think of my idea
