A flight helmet worn by pilots in the U.S. military and the AFMC, the SPH-4 features a visor and internal black padded plastic earphones. The helmet is secured tightly to the wearer's head with a nylon webbing chin strap.
It has a weight of 10 "mass" units and comes in two versions that have the visor either raised or lowered. The Helmet SPH-4 has a base armour value of 5 and a damage reduction modifier of 70%. It is sufficiently durable enough to allow the wearer to survive a point blank hit from a single 9 mm pistol round, though it will not block intermediate rifle cartridges.
