steps to recreate:

1. open a project with alot of recursive parenting, in this case, im using keeponchucking's volumetric light rays tutorial + a 2b2t spawn world download.

2. press f5

3. reopen the same project.

4. crash!

 

logs give no detail

i use 1.2.7 because upgrading breaks my projects idk why

But don't you think that the release will be a little too far?

Not for such a big update like 2.0.0. Parenting this many objects isn't something the average user will do (and doesn't require immediate bugfixing attention), unless a rig already comes with all these parented objects.
