2D animation using Mineimator

Has anyone ever tried doing different art styles using Mineimator? A 2D art style? Of course there are better programs for this but I think Mineimator can handle it well. I've made a test animation for a fan series last year, the animation reminded me of South Parks movements a bit.

This is all essentially moving pictures drawn by me, and constantly switching the mouth textures. I think if executed properly and enough time/effort is put into it you could create a really cool animated series or something.

I imagine it could be done. You'd have to use the Surface image option and plenty of them.
