The Thing in my storyline is a large gelatinous mass of dead bio-waste made mostly of flesh, muscle , bone, adipose tissue, and other dead decomposing matter. The Thing can consume a live organism and use as a host which can take the form of the organism.

Basically "The Thing" I'm talking about (the one that's in my storyline) looks a, little bit, something like this (or I can just say it almost looks like the "Hospital Monster" From Stranger Things):
