Custom 3D models in Mine-imator?

Is it possible to convert .obj to work as a schematic? I'd like to use a custom 3D model in Mine-imator, but I'm not sure how I would do that, if it's possible at all. 

And if it's not possible yet, is there a chance that a feature could be added someday to convert them, or rather just use .obj?
