Particle Rotation

basically, the ability to rotate Particle Creators. This would also work with parenting. This could have many different uses

  • A blood effect when a decapitated character is falling over
  • A gunshot effect parented to a gun
  • An Arrow particle effect parented to a bow because some dude was too lazy to animate the arrow himself

 

Basically, how this would work, is that the particle spawn would be rotated. Example: If you have a gunshot effect going towards positive X and then you rotate it 90 degrees, it'd be shooting towards Positive Z.

 

Just a neat little feature I thought would be nice and also free up a bit of space in the Timelines and the Library. It'd be great if one of the devs could add this.

Dude, how are you going to get control over a single arrow though a particle system? Animating an arrow shooting and hitting only takes half a minute and is much easier and simpler than having to set up a whole particle system for it. Using particles, you won't be able to control the timing, transitions, and hitting accurately.

This would only work if it's a dispenser you are using that repeatedly shoots arrows in a fixed position/direction.
