I have lost many hours of work constantly because of light forgetfulness and my outlet is on a timer and I would have to redo everything.

If the program could autosave about every 30 minutes (Default), that would be a lot of help.

The option to change the auto save time would also be good for people with stricter or loser schedule. (Like in Minecraft X-Box 360)

They could be a little notification or they could pause what you are doing, but I think it would be a big help not just to me but to other people.

by default, mine-imator backs up your projects every ten minutes. a .backup1/.backup2/.backup3 file is created every ten minutes by default, and you can restore the project by renaming the file extension to .miproject. although, you should probably take note of your outlet timer and when it will deactivate your power so you avoid this problem in the first place

In the default Mine-imator, this features wasn't there but changed with an automated backup system with ".mibackup" extensions and have number depending on the time they have created and how many backup you set it in the settings. This was same as another animator like Blender which has ".blend1" default backup, and totally same as the main Blender file.

However, the system creates many backup files, or we could call them as copy of old version in many places. Mine-imator installed and have default run place in system32 or system folder and deeper again which means that MI started inside a root folder even though it is possible to modify this folder. Windows also have roaming application data strached on users folder each time applications run to keep data walking, to help the memory (RAM) and the Mine-imator or your projects folder syncing. However, it is impossible to access this data correctly because it will cause the system error due to double data usage in the same profile and registry.

If you would like to try this way, you may have to run Mine-imator as administrator, but there is no guarantee that this work correctly on yours without making any problem. It is recommended to use the normal way, which is automated backup system and working with them. You could just adjust the time range between each backup shorter so you don't need to worry about "not able to recover" projects, and you have to make sure that you also changed the number of the backup that could be created. This settings could changed in the general settings easily.

However, the other problem for this backup is that you cannot open the backup file. When you renamed the file extension, it always crashes because there is a file with a same name or the system couldn't change the file type. Nevertheless, if you deleted the original ".miproject" and you was be able to change the extension, sometimes the Mine-imator couldn't load the file that needed for the projects (project assets).

From those long thoughts, we have known that we could feel safe that we could be able to have some backup of our projects file even with some risk of failure while loading. As conclusion, we could thought that what we only need is that the automated system should applicated to the main file beside the backup files. Or in another way we could just say that we need to be able to open the backup file while we open the projects, accessing them from the project file as we open a file with some version as we uses the Microsoft Office.

However, may I didn't catch what the main topic creator idea, but I just trying to explain more. I'm sorry for my words if they were unnecessary.
