Question

Hi bros. Im just totally lost right now. Im not a little child, but my eyes got really teary. I was working on a new animation the past 2 days. I invested like 20 hours of my past 48 hours for this one animation and i even almost finished it. It was just the last few moments to do. My projects even safe 20 backup files every 40 min, so i make sure to always have a backup file.

Then i just wanted to use a png file as an item for the animation. It kinda freezed and i couldnt press anything. The programm crashed. I opened Mine Imator and the animation had no thumbnail anymore on the list. That already scared me. I tried to open it and it said "the selected project cant be found". Now i was really scared and looked up into the folder... the folder was COMPLETELY empty. All the schematics, all the backup data, just everything GONE! The only data in it was a "world.schematic" data with 0.95 KB. Im just so lost, im sweating and cant sleep. I try to search for the data but i cant find a backup anywhere. Not in the  resycle bin, not in EaseUS Data recovery wizard... it just VANISHED. How is something like this even possible? How can all the data just vanish? Why did it just vanished by a Mine Imator crash? I can remember, that i tried to safe while it was frozen... What this my fatal fault? But why should all the backup data go away if so? I just dont understand... Please help me, you maybe know how absolutaley lost i feel right now. Please tell me ways to recover this folder :( I just want this folder to be in the state 2 hours ago :(

I'm genuinely sorry that this happened to something you worked hard on. At the moment I have no idea what caused the crash, what caused the project files to be deleted, nor how to get the files back since something like this is almost never reported in detail. There's not much here I can go off of based on what you've said so far. (Other than import images as an item, but it works fine with various images up to 4k with 3D enabled on my computer.) Is there anyway you can recreate the issue and explain everything step by step so I can look into the issue and prevent it from happening again?

Excuse me for not answering my dear brothers. I was so pissed that I just stopped the project. It was not possible to recover it. The crash happened, when i was about to load a HD PNG as an Minecraft Item. A very detailed, powerful looking sword. When it was loading, the project just freezed. I guess my fault here was to spam "CTRL+S" to save it while it was freezing, because i was scared that i will loose all my recent keyframes. After the freeze the program was working, but in a very weird way... like some files were missing. After pressing CTRL+S again it crashed instantly and the project was gone for good. I guess the folder got been deleted while it was freezing like hell and because of my CTRL+S spamming. I tried many softwares to search for deleted data. I found so many trash stuff i deleted long time ago, but my project was gone without any trace. I lost an almost finished epic fight animation i put so much effort in (im not talking about some weird and cringe linear movement MC animation). I really gave my best for that animation. Now its gone and i couldn´t get the motivation to start it from scratch again. i put too much detail in it to start all over again. The restore points were too long in the past unfortunately. But i learned from my faults and my friend programmed me a backup software. Now my projects will always be safed on every hardrive that ive got. Thanks for your help. I really hope that you wont get through the same damn error. Im not blaming MI for that, maybe it was even a Windows failure.
