My problem with it currently is the body shape. I've compared it to the S.H.Monsterarts figure and I dunno how I can replicate the muscular build he was described to have had in the movie

Rig looks great, it's just the pixel consistency that bugs us (or in other words: S T R E T C H E D T E X T U R E S). I'd recommend learning Modelbench and using its UV editor to keep the pixel sizes consistent (and yes, you can do 3D item sheets).
