Adaptive Volumetric Light | Tutorial

To tell you the truth I didn't even know you could repeat textures in the Library tab, much less create real-time volumetric lighting. You never disappoint, my friend, keep it up!

I have one question: I can use a static texture for the volume if I'm just making a wallpaper, right? I'd love to make something with this, but MI usually crashes for me when I try to have multiple cameras in the scene with decently high resolutions. It'd be easier if I could just make the mask, save the camera's output and use that as a texture instead, which would probably be the last thing I do in the scene to make sure everything that could cast volumetric shadows is already in the scene.

P.S. Can't wait for that portal tutorial, hopefully I'll be more motivated to make Portal animations once I've actually got working portals that don't look awful! :D

With a texture, it won’t be adaptive, but with a still scene, you definitely can.
