Hello. I'm a language teacher and I have an educational project that I need animators for. It is a basic course to teach give small children of low income a head start. it uses simple animations to teach words. The 4 characters go on adventures through different (schematics) as they learn new words related to that world/scene.

pay: $60-75 per animated minute [updated see below]

characters and sets: provided

 script: provided.

Length: initial project 70 minutes long. then, ongoing work as new side stories are constantly being developed.

UPDATE: I can pay extra $$ for speedy delivery. I've got a number of animators from this forum already working and delivering but we could use more help.

I would do it for free too, but here are some of my problems:

-70 minutes is too long, that would take 6 moths at minimum. For a simple animation like this, maybe 3 minutes per episode (If I can even get one in)

-I don't have time for constant stories, my schedule is very... unpredictable

-Well, what I'd do is let the kids get a grasp of the words they might learn. Because I will probably only have time for 1 episode, so If i were to cram everything in, It'd take around a month to complete (excluding schoolwork). I could do simple things like pronouns, nouns, adjectives, etc. Then  you could teach them the different types of words. (And make sure parents step in to help the kids)

-Also I can't make a jingle to go along, sorry

Thank you for the feedback DuallyElemental. I understand it's a lot of work. The good things is, I do not have a strict deadline for completion of the project, so at least we can be flexible with that. I am looking to split up the work amongst multiple people so that at least no one person will have so much work, so hopefully that'll help.

There are songs but they are already done, there is some animation/visualization of the songs that will be necessary but no singing (thankfully for me) and no voice over work.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Hey man, I'm not sure if the forums are really a good place to be looking for animators. You'll still find a few here, but those who are willing to work to create animations that long with decent quality have either left the forums to pursue their careers elsewhere, or are now having to deal with school as well.

The best I could think of right now is to hire one or two to create a comic series. The creators of Mine-imator have made a comic series and are selling on Amazon. Instead of animating, you can split it down into small wallpapers that you can easy stitch together in Photoshop (Or free alternatives such as GIMP or Paint.NET) with some dialogue to create pages.

That's all I can think of. School has recently started, and even if that wasn't an issue, I am a lurker and rarely animate anymore. Good luck on your adventures!

thank for the advice! I didn't know that and that's certainly interesting.

I've already started animating and I may have to do it all myself..it's a really great project so I don't have too much of a problem with that. Plus the animation necessary doesn't have to be super fancy, it's for kids and it's meant to be light and fun. I suppose I may start animating it myself and see if anyone hops aboard as I plug along. we'll see how it goes in here. Thanks for the well wishes!

It's awesome to see an interest in using Mine-imator as a teaching tool. Unfortunately I don't have the kind of time to help out with it, nor am I actually experienced myself, but I'd just like to wish you luck in your search. This could be a very cool project if it comes together.

I can do at least do some of it. I know most people are saying they will do it for free, but I will gladly take the pay (lol sorry if I sound selfish/greedy). Just get back to me on when you want to start and what you want me to do.
