Imo it doesn't make sense how his helmet just scales up from inside his head.

Just a test. Also, there isn't really any way to make it look realistic. I tried ?

How?

Set his alpha to about 50%.

Create a particle creator.

Open particle editor

Set the particles to a rectangle

Set the destruction time to about 0.07~0.1.

Set the alpha to about 1%.

Use the alpha glitch by lowering the render depth.

Parent it to the character.

The character will now be transparent and some parts will flicker a bit.

Make him get taller or wider for one frame before scaling back to 0 using exponential ease out.

Then, you should see him as "unstable" like some holograms.

If you use any other transition, you might find the "unstability" too slow.
