The light (which I assume is coming from the TV) is very bright, and spans across the entirety of where the focus is being drawn, so it looks pretty bland. I would tone it down quite a bit, and maybe give it a blue-ish tint. The current lighting contrasts the dark setting of the room they're in heavily, and that doesn't look the best. The poses are okay, but the pupils being as small as they are on the man make him look surprised at something. But when we can't see what he's surprised about, it's kind of confusing. Plus, the girl isn't surprised, which makes it more confusing. The scenery is pretty simple but that's not too big of a deal.

I would keep at it!
