I actually want to be able to mess around with the colors of a shadow. Maybe a seperate interface like particles? Either way, I think it would be cool if we could color or manually adjust the alpha of a shadow.

You can.

It's under Render Settings in the Settings tab.

You can edit the shadows. The colour, the blur, the sharpness etc.

Never a waste. You now know there is a way to edit shadows, so there.
